JAD-Dogs was developed in 2010 by Mica Köppel-Haug and combines several dog sports:
Trick training, dog dancing, lunging and agility.
JAD-Dogs is the perfect combination of rhythmic, harmonious cooperation,
controlled, brisk movement, innovative distance work and mental stimulation for our four-legged friends.
The human teaches the dog many different tricks, movements and positions.
Through the constant alternation between quiet, concentrated “work” and action-packed activities on the various devices,
which are formatted in a circle, the dog is ideally kept busy and motivated. When creating a JAD Dogs choreography, the two-legged person can be incredibly creative.
TRICK-TRAINING
Trick training is about teaching the dog many different tricks such as crawling, bowing, shaking his head, being embarrassed, rolling, covering himself, cleaning up, ringing the bell, crawling, falling over - and so much more.
DOGDANCE
Dog dancing is about teaching the dog not only tricks but also many different movements and positions and then putting them together to create a beautiful choreography to music of your choice. The harmony between human and dog is the top priority here.
LONGEING
When lunging, we teach the dog to run in a large circle at a great distance from us. The four-legged friend learns to present the three different gaits - walk, trot and gallop - on command. The dog shows many different actions in the lunge circle.
AGILITY
In agility, the dogs overcome various obstacles, although in JAD-Dogs the agility part has no specifications regarding the equipment or the jumping height. The human decides which equipment is included in the choreography and at what height and in what manner the dog overcomes the equipment.
